Welcome to Kiss the Berry! Brisbane's very first store that focuses on Açaí Bowls and Smoothies.
What is Açaí and why are we so obsessed?
Açaí (Pronounced ah-SAH-ee) is a little purple berry that originated in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil. This 'wonder berry' is considered to be one of the most powerful and nutritious super foods on the planet. It contains high levels of essential fatty acids (omega-3, omega-6 & omega-9). It is super rich in antioxidants, contains 19 different amino acids, is rich in minerals and vitamins (especially calcium and vitamin E), is low in sugar and is an excellent source of dietary fiber and natural energy.
So now you’re probably thinking ‘Surely something that good for me, can’t possibly taste good.’ Well, eating your own words has never been so delicious. When the berries are blended, we describe it as a fruit sorbet with hints of dark chocolate and red wine. What’s not to like?
So, what is a bowl then?
We blend up these frozen wonder berries with some fresh fruit and a dash of nudie juice, we top it with an organic hemp seed granola, some locally sourced honey and some more fresh fruit. Each one of our bowls has been carefully designed in a way that collaborates and accentuates the flavours in our blend and fruits, so that each mouthful is as good as the last.
